- Locate the DRL Module - The module is mounted on the rear of the headlamp unit.
- Access the Module - Unscrew and carefully pull back the front section of the wheel arch liner to gain access.
- Remove the DRL Module - Unscrew the three Philips screws securing the DRL module to the headlamp.
- Disconnect the Wiring - Gently unplug the connector from the existing DRL module.
- Remove the DRL Board - Unscrew and remove the DRL board from the heat sink.
- Clean the Heat Sink Surface - Use alcohol wipes to thoroughly clean off any remaining thermal grease from the heat sink.
- Apply New Thermal Grease - Apply two small dots of thermal grease directly behind the LED positions on the new DRL board.
- Install the New DRL Board - Position the new board on the heat sink and secure it using the original screws.
- Reconnect the Wiring - Plug the connector firmly into the new DRL board until it clicks into place.
- Reinstall the DRL Module - Secure the entire DRL unit back onto the headlamp with the original screws.
- Repeat on the Opposite Side - Follow the same steps for the other side.
- Final Testing and Reassembly - Test both DRLs to confirm they are working. Once confirmed, re-secure the wheel arch liners.
✅ Installation Tips
- Avoid Direct Contact with LEDs - Handle the LED boards by the edges to prevent damage from oils or static discharge.
- Disconnect Carefully - When removing the connector, ensure the release tab is fully pressed in before pulling to avoid breaking.
- Have Right Tools before starting - Have a variety of ¼" drive extensions, mini ratchets, and universal joints ready — these are essential for reaching the screws in tight and awkward spaces.
These LED units do not have ECE approval, so their usage is currently not approved for use on public roads on any colour other than white: their usage is limited to ‘off-road’ applications only. The product may not be suitable for fitment in some vehicles outside of the UK. Packaging type may vary depending on stock and shipping restrictions. Warranty: 2 Years
