Made from 2mm aluminium for increased strength in comparison to the plastic original, our replacement under tray features a series of enlarged ducts and vents to encourage air flow and cooling. It attaches in place using the original fixings, as well as additional mounting points for added security and has been designed to work with our big boost pipe kit.

The air ducts are significantly enlarged when compared to the standard tray to encourage air flow and cooling. The duct’s profile has also been designed to direct air specifically to the engine oil modine and transmission area, in comparison to the original duct, which flowed air in no specific direction.
A more open rear section than the OEM allows the heated air between the tray and the engine to escape more effectively, promoting better engine cooling.
The slots on the rear section are elongated when compared to the OEM to allow for better cooling.
Since the clearance between the enlarged scoop and the bottom of the engine block is reduced, it is strongly suggested that an uprated torque mount is installed on the vehicle if the original one is beginning to wear.
Works with the pre-existing big boost pipe kit.
Our solution to creating a replacement under tray in 2mm aluminium began with a full 3D scan of the vehicle’s underside to ensure a perfect fitment. As a result, it reuses all original fixings and mounting points, as well five additional fittings to ensure absolute security whilst offering improved strength and protection for the underside of the car.
We then designed the under tray to be flatter with a smoother surface to help air flow under the car whilst offering 20mm more ground clearance in comparison to the original, which hugely benefits lowered vehicles. Despite the flatter profile, the air ducting is larger to help improve cooling and also features a much bigger duct. The back of the undertray is also vented at the rear to further improve air flow and aid cooling.
Finished in a high-quality black powder coat finish, the under tray offers improved durability and cooling effectiveness.
The under tray has three main purposes: to protect the underside of the vehicle from foreign objects flicking up and causing damage or accelerated wear. Secondly, to improve aerodynamics by creating a low pressure area as air accelerates past its smooth surface. This reduces drag, which works towards improving grip, handling as well as fuel efficiency.
Lastly, on performance models, the under tray often provides increased cooling by either venting cold air to, or extracting warm air from the engine bay. Therefore improving the strength, design, size and cooling effect can offer fantastic benefits.
Please note:
The under tray uses existing mounting points and bolts, but it is essential the original plastic fittings the bolts screw into are in good condition. These should only be reused if they still support the bolt properly and you are able to tighten it firmly. If they are worn or broken and offer little to no resistance as you wind the bolt in, they should be replaced with new items from Ford, as failure to do so may cause the under tray to work loose.
To secure the under tray’s additional fixings two existing holes in the subframe require enlarging.
As the clearance between the enlarged scoop and the sump is reduced, it is strongly advised that an uprated torque mount is installed if the original shows signs of wear/excess movement.
